Energy Saving tool

The purpose of this tool is to compile trends and targets for primary and final energy consumption as well as energy savings.

The tool also shows energy savings in relation to primary and final consumption, to highlight the Energy Efficiency First principle.

Two types of energy savings are presented in the tool:

• ODYSSEE energy savings, based on indicators (“top-down”),
• Cumulative energy savings from Article 7/8 of the Energy Efficiency Directives (Article 7 for the EED 2012 and Article 8 for the EED 2023).

Targets are given for 2030 for energy consumption (Article 4, EED 2023), for 2020 for energy savings from Article 7 (EED 2012), and for 2030 for energy savings from Article 8 (EED 2023) and CO2 emissions linked to energy consumption in transport and buildings.

Users are invited to select a country and an item (primary consumption, final consumption, ODYSSEE energy savings, Article 7/8 energy savings…) from the menu on the left.
